France driving tour – Hire a Car
As this itinerary is calculated for a circuit by car, you are perhaps thinking : where should I rent a car ? Directly in Paris ? At the airport ? Online ?
It is so easy and secure to hire a car on line that it could be the solution.
They propose always good prices and have a great customer service team to support you if you need.
As I travel quite often all over the world (see my blog), I used Expedia several times for booking international flights and everything has gone well !
An other website is perfect for booking flights, car rental and airport shuttles : Skyscanner
My route in France by car – Detailed itinerary day by day
Paris Montmartre – Day 1
- Arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport.
- Take a taxi to your hotel : about 30 minutes.
- Night in Paris.
As Montmartre is my favorite place in Paris, I advise you to book an hotel in this area. I selected 2 ones (see more details here below).
Hotel in Montmartre – Hotel Ibis Paris Montmartre
Why I choose Hotel Ibis Paris Montmartre ? Because its location is perfect ! If you plan a dinner at the cabaret Le Moulin Rouge, you don’t need any taxi…
The hotel is also at 15-minute walk from Sacre-Cœur basilica. On the other hand for all visits, Metro station is only at 5 minutes.
And no problem to eat at night : lots of restaurants and cafes are located nearby. This hotel is not expensive but it’s is very clean and comfortable!
Hotel in Montmartre – Maison Lepic Montmartre
Why I choose the Maison Lepic Montmartre ?
Because of his garden-terrace in the heart of Paris ! Its atmosphere is romantic and just at few steps from the Sacre Cœur.
Maison Lepic Montmartre is my favorite hotel in Montmartre ! It is really a dreamed hotel for a romantic stay in Paris.
Rooms are so cozy, and also clean and very well equipped ; I enjoyed particularly the big and rich breakfast buffet with fresh quality products and delicious pastries.
