Marseille in 2 days – Cassis and the Calanques de Marseille
To make a small cruise along the Calanques of Marseille and Cassis, daily departures are reserved directly on the old port.
Otherwise, you can book your most complete tour online on Expedia. This excursion begins with a trip along cliffs plunging into the sea on the beautiful ridge road. The view from the top of Cap Canaille, the highest maritime cliff in France, is breathtaking. Then you will visit Cassis. You can admire the sailboats moored in the marina and stroll along the shaded streets. Then the excursion offers a sea trip of 45 minutes (tickets extra) to discover the beautiful creeks, pretty little coves with limestone cliffs that are home to small fishing ports and beautiful golden beaches.
Marseille in 2 days – La Canebière
La Canebière for Marseille is like the Champs Elysees for Paris: an essential avenue for all tourists. They go there to do some shopping or to have lunch in typical restaurants. By the way, I recommend (near the Canebière and Cours St Louis) the famous TOINOU, a seafood restaurant where you can taste the best seafood platters in Marseille!
And for those who are looking for popular areas, lively and colorful, Noailles is a place not to be missed. There is a colorful food market with spices from around the world, exotic fruits, local vegetables …
Marseille in 2 days – Palais de Longchamp
In the extension of the Canebière, you will arrive at Palais Longchamp. It is a sumptuous palace composed of a water tower in the center, a part dedicated to the Museum of Natural History and a final part reserved for the Museum of Fine Arts in Marseille.
