My selection of 3 best hotels in Paris

Capital of luxury, elegance and fashion, Paris is a city that I love to visit for its culture, its monuments and its romantic atmosphere. If you are lucky to be able to spend a few days in my beautiful Paris, everything will have to be perfect. And before selecting your restaurants, outings, visits … you will have to choose the best hotel in Paris to make your stay unforgettable.

However, in front of the multitude of big and very beautiful hotels in Paris, you wonder … In which district is it better to choose a hotel in Paris? How to find the best hotel that meets my requirements and my desires (tourism, opera, museums, shopping …)? What is the budget for staying in one of the most beautiful hotels in Paris?

Best hotel in Paris – How to select it?

In this article, I will not give you the list of the finest Palaces in Paris. Between 1 000 and 4 000 Euros per night, they are reserved for an elite wealthy rich who already know them and attend regularly (Le Ritz, Georges V, Le Crillon, Lutecia, Le Meurice, Plaza Athenee … ).

No, I will simply and more modestly offer my small selection of the best hotels in Paris for tourists who want to spend a dream holiday in the French capital.

Best hotel in Paris – Which neighborhood to select?

Everybody knows that most beautiful hotels in Paris are neither in the dangerous neighborhoods for tourists, nor in the remote areas of the most beautiful monuments of Paris … Not all luxury hotels are located in the most beautiful neighborhoods of Paris especially in the Golden triangle!

This golden triangle is a small triangular area of the 8th arrondissement of Paris bounded by the avenues Montaigne, George V and the Champs-Elysees.

It is one of the most chic places in the capital and of course one of the most expensive. The hotels I selected below are located in the best areas of Paris and, for some, all around this famous and very chic golden triangle of Paris!

Best Hotel in Paris – Hotel Juliana Paris *****

A 5 star near the Eiffel Tower

Here is one of the best 5-star hotels in the 7th arrondissement. Despite the exterior aspect of its facade a little face, this hotel enjoys an ideal location for tourism. Indeed, it is located right next to the Eiffel Tower and only 10 minutes walk from the Seine cruise departures. The 7th arrondissement is also home to many restaurants (large tables or original restaurants with executives and exceptional views of Paris).

In a quiet street, this hotel offers high-end services (sauna, sports hall, nice bar …) for a very interesting price (from 300 € per night).

In addition to its proximity to the Eiffel Tower, the Champs de Mars and the Champs Elysees, its main asset is its beautiful terrace on the 7th floor. In fact, a glass of champagne is offered to welcome you to the hotel.

Best hotel in Paris – La Villa Haussmann ****

Good plan close to the Opera and Champs Elysees

Ideally located between the Opera, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées, Villa Haussmann is one of the most beautiful hotels in the 8th arrondissement. It is a 4-star hotel but it has everything of a luxury hotel: refined and comfortable rooms, magnificent indoor swimming pool, restaurant, lounge-bar, spa …

Its location is perfect for tourists (200 m from Miromesnil metro station). From this hotel, on foot, you can in 5 minutes be at the Jacquemart-André Museum, in 8 minutes walk to Parc Monceau and in a 15 minutes, you will be at Galeries Lafayette for shopping… In the evening, you can even walk to the Opéra Garnier!

With rooms priced around 400 Euros, it is an excellent choice with a very good value for money hotel in the heart of the 8th arrondissement.

Best Hotel in Paris – Hotel Alfred Sommier *****

 Great luxury near department stores

Located close to the department stores (Galeries Lafayette), the Alfred Sommier hotel opened its doors in the spring of 2018. This 5-star hotel is an elegant and old mansion that stands out for its refinement, its decoration, its restaurant under glass and its bar overlooking a private garden.

In the heart of the Madeleine district, its location is ideal in the very chic 8th district.

All meals are served in the large and beautiful dining room “Les Caryatides”. In good weather, meals can be taken on the beautiful terrace of the garden to enjoy the sun.

With its typically French elegance, the splendor of its architecture and the comfort of the rooms divinely decorated, this hotel has nothing to envy to the great Parisian palaces.
